Water Falls

Water Falls

By

Father Witch

When water falls on wishes-

no different than a tear.

Sorrow is a mixture

of happiness and fear.

When water falls on dreams-

No different than the rain.

Her winds will blow the clouds away;

The seeds of life remain.

Every Spring will bring forth life

as Mother Nature calls.

Every season will bring change

as the water falls.

Blessed Yule to All

Lavender oil

Lavender oil has many uses and is one of the safest oils. It is wonderful for removing negative energies from my surroundings. Here is how I make my lavender oil. During a new moon, I take lavender stems (with leaves and flowers) and gently crush them. I then place them into a clean jar and fill with high quality olive oil. I shake once daily for one cycle of the moon and then strain and transfer into a clean, dark glassed bottle. The shelf life for this oil is 6-12 months if kept in a dry, cool, dark place. I place 10 drops of oil into a spray bottle filled with water and attack negativity.

The Same Moon

By
Father Witch

I gaze this night upon a full moon
Knowing that unity will follow soon.
I know the cycles that I see.
I realize my own destiny.
(German)
Ich schaue auf dem gleichen Mond an

I look upon the same moon
That brightens the midnight sky.
The willowy wisps of clouds that pass
Me by.
(Spanish)
Miro sobre la misma luna

In these times, most associate the apple with the Christian story of Adam and Eve. It is unfortunate that most did not extend their knowledge to the goddess Habondia. She is the goddess of the summer harvest and of abundance. The apple was her sacred fruit so it is not surprising that the apple would find its way into a love spell. Here is a love spell that was taken from a BOS of a German witch in rhyming couplets:

On Friday early as may be,
Take the fairest apple from the tree,
Then in thy blood on paper white
thine own name and true love’s write.
That apple thou shalt in two cut
And for its cure that paper put,
With two sharp pens of myrtle wood
Join the halves till it seems good.
In the oven let it dry:
And wrapped in leaves of myrtle lie,
Under the pillow of thy dear,
Yet let it be unknown to her.
And if it is a secret be
She soon will show her love for thee.

Blessed Be FW

The Stars

The Stars.
By
Father Witch

I can look up to the heavens.
I can see the stars with my own eyes.
The darkness of the moon
has made me realize
that my powers lie within
those stars that I cannot see.
I drink from my own chalice-
creating destiny.

Natures Dancers by Father Witch

I dance this night upon a stage called earth.

Pondering the next step that I should take

In the many silent songs called life.

I must create my own dance

With the whispers of the winds

And the moon, as she cast her shadows

On my soul and silhouettes.

I can sing without words.

I can jump from star to star.

In the vastness of this dance without a song.

My spirit can truly sour,

As the silence brings forth sound.

Suddenly, music is all around.

I dance upon this stage

Until the performance is complete.

Unto this life I must accept defeat.

But, by listening to silence

And understanding life,

Death will only bring me to my feet.

I dance this night upon a stage called earth.

To a song that has no sound.

I can hear the melody.

I can see the audience of life around me.

So I shall dance until my soul is found.

My silhouettes shall spring to life

With the rising of the sun.

And they shall dance unto a different tune.

We are merely dancers in the performance of our lives.

Cast by the creator of all things.

And judged by the values that we bring-

To the dance.

Sabbat Oil

I wanted to let you know how to make Sabbat oil. Before attending Sabbat you should anoint yourself with Sabbat oil. This is one way to make oil. You need to obtain the following:
Wild parsley root
Celery root
Popular leaves (balm of Gilead)
Cinquefoil
Saffron
You should cut these up with your Athame’, but that is not always possible, so at least crush them up and steeped in purified vegetable oil during the waxing moon. Strain the oil through a cheesecloth and bottle. You can also steep the leaves in pure alcohol and later mix into the oil.

The Wiccan Redes

The Wiccan Redes
Bide the Wiccan Redes ye must,
In Perfect Love and Perfect Trust;
Live ye must and let to live,
Fairly take and fairly give;
Form the Circle thrice about,
To keep unwelcome spirits out;
Bind fast the spell every time,
Let the words be spoke in rhyme.
Soft of eye and light of touch,
Speak ye little, listen much;
Deosil go by waxing moon,
Sing and dance the Witches' Rune;
Widdershins go by waning moon,
Chant ye then a baleful tune;
When the Lady's moon is new,
Kiss hand to her times two;
When the moon rides at peak,
Heart's desire then ye seek.
Heed the North wind's mighty gale,
Lock the door & trim the sail;
When the wind comes from the South,
Love will kiss them on the mouth;
When the wind blows from the West,
departed souls have no rest;
When the wind blows from the East,
Expect the new and set the feast.
Nine woods in the cauldron go,
Burn them quick, burn them slow;
Elder be the Lady's tree,
Burn it not or curs'd ye'll be;
When the wind begins to turn,
Soon Beltane fires will burn;
When the wheel has turned to Yule,
light the log, the Horned One rules.
Heed the flower, bush or tree
By the Lady blessed be'

Welcome

The Witches Creed

Hear now the words of the witches,
The secrets we hid in the night,
When dark was our destiny's pathway,
That now we bring forth into light.

Mysterious water and fire,
The earth and the wide-ranging air,
By hidden quintessence we know them,
And will and keep silent and dare.

The birth and rebirth of all nature,
The passing of winter and spring,
We share with the life universal,
Rejoice in the magical ring.

Four times in the year the Great Sabbat
Returns, and the witches are seen
At Lammas and Candlemas dancing,
On May Eve and old Hallowe'en.

When day-time and night-time are equal,
When sun is at greatest and least,
The four Lesser Sabbats are summoned,
And Witches gather in feast.

Thirteen silver moons in a year are,
Thirteen is the coven's array.
Thirteen times at Esbat make merry,
For each golden year and a day.

The power that was passed down the age,
Each time between woman and man,
Each century unto the other,
Ere time and the ages began.
When drawn is the magical circle,
By sword or athame of power,
Its compass between two worlds lies,
In land of the shades for that hour.
This world has no right then to know it.

And world of beyond will tell naught.
The oldest of Gods are invoked there,
The Great Work of magic is wrought.

For the two are mystical pillars,
That stand at the gate of the shrine,
And two are the powers of nature,
The forms and the forces divine.

The dark and the light in succession,
The opposites each unto each,
Shown forth as a God and a Goddess:
Of this our ancestors teach.

By night he's the wild winds rider,
The Horn'd One, the Lord of the Shades.
By day he's the King of the Woodland,
The dweller in green forest glades.

She is youthful or old as she pleases,
She sails the torn clouds in her barque,
The bright silver lady of midnight,
The crone who weaves spells in the dark.

The master and mistress of magic,
That dwell in the deeps of the mind,
Immortal and ever-renewing,
With power to free or to bind.

So drink the good wine to the Old Gods,
And Dance and make love in their praise,
Till Elphame's fair land shall receive us
In peace at the end of our days.

And Do What You Will be the challenge,
So be it Love that harms none,
For this is the only commandment.
By Magic of old, be it done!

Maggie (A Magpie.) is my familiar. She fell out of a tree when she found life and I raised her with an eye dropper and soaked, dry dog food. CURRENT MOON

Your magickal name

    Choose the Perfect Name

  1. Step 1

    Do not share your Wiccan name with outsiders. A magickal name should be reserved for rituals and as a way of identifying yourself to other Wiccans in your coven. Some Wiccans do not share their names at all, reserving them for direct communication with the deities.

  2. Step 2

    Research different names and their meanings. You can use baby books to learn what names mean.

  3. Step 3

    Select a name that represents a characteristic you have or are aiming for. This can be done directly or in a more subtle way. If you're aiming for strength, for example, you can choose the name "Iron Maiden" or select the Gaelic name "Bry," which means noble and strong.

  4. Step 4

    Pay attention to signs. Wiccans believe you can sometimes receive your name through dreams, visions or special occurrences. By being open to the possibility, it is more likely that you won't miss the sign when it comes.

  5. Step 5

    Ask for help in selecting a name. If you belong to a coven, the high Priestess may help you in choosing your magickal name by guiding you through a ritual.

  6. Step 6

    Take care in choosing the name of a goddess. If you decide to choose the name of a goddess, do so in hopes of becoming a reflection of her. Keep in mind, however, that you may inherit both the good and the bad side of the goddess' personality.
